I tried to connect power cord to the AC outlet in my truck, but it tripped the breaker. So, I tried using an 800 watt inverter, but it would not work.

Does anyone know of a solution to allow for use in a vehicle? What are the power load requirements? If I knew these I could probably find an inverter that would work.

    Thanks!

I suspect you need a pure sine wave inverter (your 800 watt is probably modified sine wave). There is a teardown of the Venus 2000 on YouTube and it reveals that the motor is rated for 1/16 hp so you need at least 47W.

I bought the second most expensive inverter they sell at harbor freight something like 2000 watts if I remember correctly.. The venus blew me from Sacramento To LA only stoping a few times for gas. Its, in my opinion, the best way to avoid falling asleep behind the wheel when you’re making the drive in the middle of the night.
